Directions
Cut the woody ends off the asparagus and chop into 2" pieces and steam for 5 minutes; drain and set aside. Place uncooked chicken pieces in a buttered 7 x 10" baking dish. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix together the sour cream, mushrooms, soup and wine and pour half this mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. Arrange asparagus on top of the chicken. Pour on the rest of soup mixture, and sprinkle on more cheese. Bake for 30-45 minutes, until chicken is done. Serve with rice. Note: this can be stretched a bit by using 3 chicken breasts and a 9 x 13” baking dish. |
