Chicken Asparagus

Ingredients
2 chicken breasts, cut in chunks1 punnet fresh button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1/4 tsp. garlic powder1 box Pacific organic cream of chicken soup
1/4 tsp. pepper1 bunch fresh asparagus
1/2 tsp. salt1 Tbsp. cooking wine or sherry
8 oz. sour cream1 pkg. Parmesan cheese
Directions

Cut the woody ends off the asparagus and chop into 2" pieces and steam for 5 minutes; drain and set aside. Place uncooked chicken pieces in a buttered 7 x 10" baking dish. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix together the sour cream, mushrooms, soup and wine and pour half this mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. Arrange asparagus on top of the chicken. Pour on the rest of soup mixture, and sprinkle on more cheese. Bake for 30-45 minutes, until chicken is done. Serve with rice. Note: this can be stretched a bit by using 3 chicken breasts and a 9 x 13” baking dish.
