Fruit Crisp

Ingredients
5 cups fruit, sliced or cut up1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. sugar, to coat fruit1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup rolled oats1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup brown sugar1 Tbsp. minute tapioca
1/4 cup flour
Directions

Put fruit in buttered baking dish and sprinkle with sugar and tapioca. Let sit for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, combine oats, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in butter. Mix in nuts and sprinkle over fruit. Bake for 30-35 minutes until lightly browned. Try apples (3-4 depending on size); pear & berries (1 pear, peeled and cut into chunks, tossed gently with 6 oz. raspberries, 6 oz. blackberries, 8 oz. strawberries, sugar and tapioca); other fruit in season. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
