Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients
1 lb broccoli, chopped really small4 garlic cloves, finely minced
3/4 box penne pasta1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
2 tbsp butter1 tsp oregano
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped1/8 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 cup celery, finely chopped1-1/2 lemons, juiced
1 cup carrot, finely chopped
Directions

Boil water in a large pot and cook pasta (more on the underdone side). Save pasta water and set pasta aside. In a big pot melt butter with 2 tbsp olive oil. Add onion, celery and carrot and saute for about 3 minutes. Add garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano and a dash of salt and pepper, and mix for another minute before adding broccoli. Cook 6 minutes until soft, mashing broccoli aggressively with a spoon to break it down. Reduce heat and add lemon juice, then pasta, then pasta water, then grated parmesan, in that order. Mix well. Serve with garlic bread, more grated parmesan, and the lemon wedges not used for juicing on the side.
