Fettuccine alla Carbonara

Ingredients
6 slices bacon, cooked & then crumbled2 T. butter
6 oz. fettuccine1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
1 beaten egg1/4 cup snipped fresh parsley
1 cup half-and-half
Directions

Cook bacon until crisp; set aside on paper towel. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and keep warm. For sauce, combine egg, half-and-half, and butter in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until egg mixture just coats a metal spoon (about 6 minutes); do not boil. Pour sauce over pasta and stir gently. Add crumbled bacon, cheese, and parsley; stir gently to combine. Season with pepper.
