Walnut Sandies

Ingredients
1 cup butter
2-1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
Directions

In a mixing bowl beat butter with electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add half the flour, the sugar, vanilla, and 1 Tbsp. water. Beat until combined. Add the rest of the flour and mix. Sir in the walnuts. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven about 20 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Cool cookies on wire rack. Gently shake cooled cookies in a plastic bag with powdered sugar.
